OBJECTIVE Objectives
By integrating artificial intelligence with experimental data,
we advance the entire drug discovery continuum—from design and synthesis to validation and delivery—
thereby strengthening our capabilities in innovative therapeutics and emerging modalities.
At the same time, we systematically cultivate ambidextrous researchers
who can both understand and execute across the full drug discovery pipeline.
INTRODUCTION Director's Message
“Designing the future of innovative drug discovery through data and intelligence.”
Greetings,
I am Hee-Seung Lee, Director of the InnoCORE AI-CRED Institute.
Drug discovery is a long-term and highly interconnected process that spans multiple stages, including design, synthesis, efficacy evaluation, and delivery.
At AI-CRED, we are building an AI-driven research framework that connects these stages into a continuous and coherent workflow.
Our research encompasses AI-based protein design, omics analysis, candidate molecule design,
drug delivery system (DDS) development, and preclinical studies.
By linking these capabilities through advanced data and computational infrastructure,
we aim to enhance both the precision and efficiency of innovative drug discovery.
Beyond technological innovation, AI-CRED also proposes a new model for how research is conducted.
Through a structure in which AI-CRED Fellows lead research in collaboration with multidisciplinary mentors,
we foster ambidextrous co-researchers equipped with both AI capability and biopharmaceutical expertise.
Leveraging the VISCON (Virtual IST Convergence Campus) platform,
we connect research capabilities and data across Korea’s four major Institutes of Science and Technology,
expand an open collaborative ecosystem, and continue to build a sustainable model for AI-driven innovative drug discovery and development.
Thank you.
