OBJECTIVE 연구 목표

We, in Multiscale Digital Twin Convergence Research Group at DGIST, aims

1) To develop core and application-oriented technologies for generating brain digital twins that replicate brain functions across multiple scales from molecules to organisms
2) To recruit and train outstanding early-career researchers equipped with interdisciplinary approaches spanning neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and clinical translation
3) To establish a collaborative framework with participating medical schools to build a convergence research ecosystem, enabling the rapid clinical translation of fundamental and applied technologies developed at DGIST
4) To maximize brain research capabilities of DGIST, together with Korea Brain Research Institute (KBRI), to strengthen the position as a leading hub for next-generation national brain research

INTRODUCTION 단장소개

"Developing Brain Digital Twins to Advance Human Health"

Greetings.
I am Sohee Kim, Director of Multiscale Brain Digital Twin Convergence Research Group at DGIST.

Our group aims to integrate multiscale and multimodal neural data with AI-based modeling to build brain digital twin platforms and translate them into clinical applications. We seek to recruit early-career researchers who are eager to engage in interdisciplinary research spanning neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and translational medicine, with the shared goal of accelerating the transition toward next-generation personalized healthcare for brain disorders.

To this end, DGIST has partnered with Yonsei University College of Medicine, Kyungpook National University School of Medicine, and KBRI.
InnoCORE Fellows are required to designate two or more mentors from multiple institutions, fostering interdisciplinary competencies. Through this intensive collaboration, we hope to accelerate the translation of technological advances into clinical applications, driven by talented young minds like yours.

Thank you.
